A new thermal area has been discovered in the Sour Creek area near the existing Tern Lake thermal area.This was mostly discovered by thermal imaging and satellite photos.Quite amazing how quickly a large are of trees were taken out.

Interesting. Reading that article reminded me that I have an infrared thermometer. I should bring that with me when I come out.

I've done that. It was interesting and people around me found it fascinating. Mostly 180s-190s, IIRC. I forgot it the last two trips though.
