My kids are in town for Christmas, so we did a guided snowmobile tour to Canyon out of Cody.
Saw several eagles out near Mary Bay, saw five different coyotes including two near a bison carcass in the Hayden Valley. Then, for the pies de resistance, we saw the Wapitis in the Hayden stalking a bison herd.
Rewarding day. Pics later.

Wait! Did you snowmobile all the way from Cody to Canyon? If not, where did the snowmobile part begin?

From the Pahaska Tepee to Canyon, and then to Norris Geyser Basin and back to the Pahaska.

Did the wolves show any interest in the trumpeter swans....just curious. Sure was nice of you to give your kids a special day in the Park. We've got family coming next week. The kids are avid mountain bikers. So they're bringing their bikes along and are going to do some exploring.....then they're off to Disneyland to see the big Star Wars event. So, it looks the hummers and me will be spending a bit of time together over New Years.

Merry Xmas, everyone!! And may you be blessed with good health and plenty of photo ops in 2022.

No, they skimmed by a bison herd though.
The guide said that a swan was killed by a coyote yesterday in the Hayden.

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. We'll be taking a snowcoach tour out that direction in a couple of weeks and hope we can see a few things, too. Thanks for the taste of what might be to come. Glad you had a wonderful trip.
