I didn’t post much of a trip report last year so I’m going to give this a shot. This is actually our fifth day, but our first with wireless service. I’ll be dictating this into the phone and probably won’t correct the auto correct Unless absolutely ridiculous!
Day one was a total blowout. Delays in Providence Thursday morning, missed connections in Chicago, later flight twice delayed and finally canceled. Move right in to day two.
Friday 5/24. The day was off to a worry some start with another short delay in Chicago we were into Bozeman by 2 PM and on the road by 230. Drove through big sky and into West Yellowstone at 3:45, picked up groceries and made it into the park by four. Bison and red dogs in Madison, coyote at Noris on the way to Canyon. Mostly bison through Hayden Valley. Stopped at LeHardy Rapids for harlequin ducks and dippers. We were about to climb into the car when my wife first heard and then spotted a bald eagle soaring overhead. Tough to shoot through the trees, but an awesome site.Drove to Lake Butte Overlook, on the way back four and a half year-old grizzly no longer cub Snow was on the Ridge and working her way down the hill you’re such babe. OK, that was supposed to read near sandwich baggie. OK I’ll guess I’ll have to type this one in “near Sedge Bay”. Checked into Sandpiper then headed out to check for a great grey owl But no luck. We had a very good dinner at the lake at 8 PM. Then went back to the room to crash.
