I don't go back until May, but I'll post shots here when I do. We don't have a forum for non-national-park photography, do we?

I'd put it in Non Yellowstone Discussions. Max and Bridger already have some absolutely stunning non Yellowstone photos in there.

We need to kick start this forum again! It was always the best resource for current news coming out of the Park and I always looked forward to the TR's and images everyone shared. Don't let a hacker kill this wonderful site.

I was glad to see this site come back online! Always a favorite for Yellowstone information. Can't wait to revisit the park in mid-May 2018.

I have only just realised this site was back. This was my daily keep me sane and I missed it dreadfully, to be honest I had given up as I kept going to old bookmarked link and eventually deleted it in January. One day last week I thought I’d do a search and there you were, I’m more a reader than poster, although I will now make an effort to post our October trip.

Food for thought.... Someone wrote the other day... that they are just a Reader.. and Not a Poster. If only a handful of people post things on this website, which of I assume, own a camera or have an opinion on this type of stuff ...can still contribute something on here.... The people who post information and pictures to help others make the effort to make this website informative and interesting for all, and it gets a little bit old, when just a few people make the effort and the vast majority of people on this sight do nothing.... Everyone who visits this website should try and make an effort to contribute something to make it interesting for everyone... Why should I post pictures here or provide information on here when most of the people just use it to their own benefit.... all it does is lead to crowds in the Parks and maybe even people stealing someone's pictures for personal use.

Don't misinterpret what I am saying here, I like to visit this website and enjoy seeing what the latest is, but when only a few people make the effort to post things, it makes it difficult for this page to get any better. I feel like I am wasting my time posting here when few others contribute. I enjoyed this site when we had things like Moose Monday. Bear Friday, ABC"s.... people tried to vary the topic of conversation to try and educate other's, answer questions.... You don't see that anymore. When one topic has over 25k views to it, the volume of people are here, but few contribute to it.

Thank you to all who have made the effort to do so and encourage others to try.

Unfortunately due to how frequently people get attacked on the www for saying something that is taken the wrong way or twisted around giving a totally different meaning than the author intended, many people read rather than post. Call us cowards, yup I will stick my hand up for that, I don't like being misinterpreted and misrepresented so therefore I am very careful about what I say and do on the internet. I have been a member of this site since our first trip in 2010 and have contributed occasionally.
I think that we need to give this site some time to build up, I believe that the momentum did slow prior to the 'crash', partly due to clashes of strong opinions and wills, facebook and other blogs etc. As stated in my previous post I have only discovered that it is back up and hope that with Spring being in the air for you guys in the Northern Hemisphere we will see some more contributions. As someone who lives on the other side of the world and has fallen in love with this very special part of our earth I love waking up and reading what others are seeing and doing. I have only every posted my own pictures, as an amateur photographer I some how doubt anyone would steal my pictures but I feel for those that are making money out of their photos to have them stolen. I can only hope that one day I can take one good enough that someone might want it! :D

I call it like I see it, I say what others may be thinking... don't blame the messenger, and maybe don't take things personal. I'm sure you have a camera, Post something.... Anything...

Hi, Rik. I'm here with warm Easter greetings for everyone from sunny So Cal! Right now, it's in the 80's while our house in MT is getting bombed with snow. Over a foot is expected. Just thought I'd check in to see what was going on with all the Yellowstone diehards, before we head back to MT.

Hope everyone had a good winter. As for me, I've been getting lots of sun and have been swimming laps almost every day to get my health back into shape. I'm feeling pretty good right now so, hopefully, I'll be able to get in 3 trips to the Park this year: one in May, a 4-week trip in mid June and then a one-week trip after Labor Day. Hope to see you this summer. Until then, safe journeys, everyone and happy clicking! :)
