What is with the bison butting heads in the spring??? I saw this behavior last year. Thought that only happened during the rut in August.

Anyway, thanks Ric for the fantastic photos. I can only dream of getting photos that clear and precise. Glad you were able to see and photograph so much during your stay in the park. Hope you can get back in real soon.

I'm going back at the end of June, then in early July, then mid August for a just a couple days each time. Then I am spending two weeks between Tetons and Yellowstone in mid-September. Will probably spend a few days in October as well.

Wow! Very cool! Great job Rick ! I'm like Bill though ... why would they be displaying this behavior in May unless these are just two teenagers messing with each other.
