Everglades and Florida Wildlife

Post by karenandbill »

We made to the Everglades and to a couple of wildlife refuges on the East Coast.

Reddish Egret--These birds are fun to watch as they dance in the pond often with their wings spread trying to stir up creatures for their meal.

White-phased Little Blue Heron (I believe, or maybe Snowy Egret) in breeding plumage

White Pelicans gorging on fish in an estuary. They were all gathered together constantly dipping and coming up with fish in their pouches.
