Bill's Birds Idaho and Yellowstone
Finally getting around to posting some bird photos from the past year. Like I mentioned in my previous bird photos, we live in Idaho about 15 minutes from Yellowstone. We get a fair number of birds especially migrating through. We do the best we can with the photo equipment we have. Hope you enjoy t...

Re: Golden Eagle
Looks like a young adult, maybe 3 years old??? My favorite bird of prey. I love watching them fly. Thanks for the photos! Brings back memories of playing golf on a course in Southern California that bordered a wild undeveloped area. I saw two red tailed hawks screaming and dive bombing as I was maki...

Re: Planning trip first week of July 2024
We did the trip from Michigan to Yellowstone 3 times with our boys 2007-2012. Have them plan for an opportune time to avoid morning/evening rush hours through Chicago. Late morning to early afternoon is usually good as is night time. (The toll on I-80 in Chicago no longer accepts cash, but they can ...

Fall In and Around Yellowstone
We made several trips into the park and the surrounding areas this fall and thought I'd give a few highlights. I will also post some bird photos from the past year under the photography tab soon. We headed to Lamar Valley several times but the wolf/grizzly views were not great for us. We did catch t...

Re: A few shots from the fall in Yellowstone and Grand Teton
Wow, some great shots!!! I would love to see the northern lights. We did go out one night in the fall and saw four meteorites in about 30 minutes but the northern lights were not visible.
Nice big-boy moose. Is that "Jam" by the log? Looks like the same area where we saw her in the fall.

Great shots!!! I did not realize they had GGO's in MN. Is that a Hawk Owl? Would love to see one but never have.
