Summer Update
With fall fast approaching, I thought I'd better post a few pictures from this spring/summer. They are up under the photography tab. We have seen quite a few bears, especially early in the season. Wolf sightings were fewer and further away with no good photos. The Junction Buttes have been around Sl...

It's been a busy summer for us, but here are a some pics from Yellowstone and the surrounding area. Bear That killed Female Jogger Euthaned after breaking into home
A grizzly bear was captured and killed after breaking into a home near West Yellowstone and getting some dog food. According to genetic tests, this was the same bear that killed the female jogger earlier in the summer. She had a cub with her and I'm not sure what its fate is. In 2017 She was capture...

Parks Spring Update--Bears, Wolves, and more
Glad the site is back up. We have made several trips into the parks and I will give a brief update. I have company right now so no time to post photos, but will try to get some up when I can. So much snow in April and early May that everything was late. Did see a nice, big grizzly boar close to the ...

Re: Possible Yellowstone trip
Thanks for posting your reply about our moose. We went to the Tetons 3 weeks ago and the roads were fine, plowed and mostly dry with a wet or slick spot in the heavy shade. There was still a lot of snow and we did not see much wildlife or even tracks. We did see 2 moose, one on the edge of Wilson an...

Surrounded by Moose!
We have been back here in Idaho since mid February and were greeted with a lot of snow and a lot more has fallen since. We have had moose stroll through our yard before, but this year has been something else! We had a mother with a single yearling come through shortly after we arrived back. Then we ...
