Yes, that's a northern hawk owl. And there are a lot of GGO's in Sax-Zim Bog.

Whoa, is that the Northern Lights? I didn't think you could see them in September or that far south. I thought you had to get up into Canada. Beautiful shots!

I've seen them here where I live, which is south of Yellowstone.

Wow, some great shots!!! I would love to see the northern lights. We did go out one night in the fall and saw four meteorites in about 30 minutes but the northern lights were not visible. Nice big-boy moose. Is that "Jam" by the log? Looks like the same area where we saw her in the fall. --Bill It'...

Took these back in September in Yellowstone and Grand Teton and only now got around to post-processing them. Nothing too spectacular but it was a fun trip. Did a lot of hiking. Rik, somehow we missed seeing these pictures until just now. Wow! they certainly are fantastic. Glad we noticed even though it is a bit late. The fox sure has a mouthful! are those multiple ground squirrels?

I thought they were but someone else said they thought they were pocket gophers.
