Re: May 21 Nature's Engineers in the Construction Zone

Bill, Excellent report. Yeah we drove by the elk carcass twice, and nothing was on it either time we went by. Odd. Can you tell me approximately what time you saw the Beryl Springs sow? She is our favorite bear, and we weren't able to see her last year when we came. We would really like to see her a...

May 21 YNP

Sorry short report tonight. Another late start into the park (what a surprise). When we first started on our journey, the precipitation gods seemed placated finally. It was cloudy, but no rain or snow. All along the Madison River not much going on. Drove from Norris junction to Canyon didn't see any...

May 20 YNP

Got a really late start into park (pm). Rain mixed with snow entire drive into park from about 20 miles outside of West Yellowstone. After entering park all along Madison river completely barren of any wildlife except for an occasional Canada Goose. While we were in GTNP (last week) we heard there w...

May 19 YNP

Got a late start into the park (as typical). Weather was bad, cold with a mixture of rain and snow all the way into the park from the West entrance. Madison River was pretty empty. A few solitary elk, but nothing else. Proceeded north at Mammoth towards Norris. Nothing along the way all the way to M...

GTNP 11 - 17 May 2019

Was in the tetons last week. Weather was much warmer last week with just some scattered showers popping up. This week is much colder with more rain and snow in Yellowstone and GTNP. I have moved to YNP for this week. Last week in GTNP Blondie and her two two-year olds were making regular appearances...

Re: May 17

One hour with a badger! Great job. Can't wait to see those images. Badgers always make for a great photo day.

Continued success!

Re: May 18

My recent experience in the tetons was a bit better than yours. Please see separate report. Weather was much warmer last week with just some scatter showers popping up. This week is much colder with more rain and snow in Yellowstone and GTNP.
