Market Lake Idaho
Driving up to YNP/Tetons from the south on the 15 freeway takes me right thru Idaho's Market Lake. I spent the night there and then had a good group of birds to take pictures of, in the morning, before driving east into the Tetons. Thanks for the report. It must be fun to be able to see the park in all of its transitions. Sorry about the lost report. It can be quite frustrating so I have learned to type the text of my reports on a word document then cut and paste into the website.

Thanks for posting this update. It is great to see the family. Don't feel guilty about posting any news here....you are one of the privileged few who have immediate access to the parks. I always appreciate your updates!

Re: Thoughts on a Bison in a Snowstorm
Congratulations again Max! Remember when we were in Patagonia shooting the Puma with two cubs in the light snow with the blackened bush? Did you happen to try any snow streaks during that session? I was busy trying to just get a sharp photo of all three pumas but I remember enjoying the effect of th...

Thanks for the comprehensive report. Lots of bears and moose! Good to know the road construction is finishing up on the west side.

Re: Brief Park Update
Thanks for the report Mike. I had the option to stay a bit longer bit glad I headed south when I did. It was crazy how those antelope suddenly appeared enmass all over the park. Sometimes in herds and others just sprinkled singly all of the meadows and hills, but all visible on the same day. We noti...

The weaver and the roller are just startling pictures! My favorites for sure. I have never seen that type of owl before either, what a great shot that is. Looks like you had good light also for these sessions.

Re: April Bike Trip and Opening Day
Thanks guys, I have been lurking for years reading all the YNP reports and only posting in the Non Yellowstone Discussions for a while now. So glad I could return to the park and actually share something in the Yellowstone Trip Reports forum. I am using a 500mm Canon lens that I purchased from Bill ...

April Bike Trip and Opening Day
My daughter and I biked the part of the park that was open to human powered methods April 17-18th. Then we drove to OF and Canyon on Friday opening day. Prior to that we acclimated to the altitude by cruising the Upper loop road in search of wildlife. There was a lot going on in the park. By staying...

Re: Owl Monday
John,
Great capture on the owl stretching its wings. I often see the GHO's do that but have never captured it.
Rik,
Is that a single Long eared that you found. Out here in the winter desert they can congregate in groups, sometimes up to ten. Just wondering what you have in Fla.
