Re: Late May/early June trip

I think nothing above two axles. Lol, thanks, but what I'm trying to get at is, do you need 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive? Can you do it with a front wheel drive CUV? It's not that rough unless it's been raining. I've seen people drive sedans up there all the time. Thanks, that's what I needed t...

Thanks for the great report! Just curious about Two Ocean Lake Road. What manner of vehicles can drive on it? Thanks much. I think nothing above two axles. Lol, thanks, but what I'm trying to get at is, do you need 4 wheel drive or all wheel drive? Can you do it with a front wheel drive CUV?

Re: Mike Enzi op-ed on raising NP entrance fees

I agree with raising the fee for foreign visitors, and I'd particularly like to see a HUGE rate increase for bus tours. If tour buses are going to be allowed into the park, they need to have some big-ass fines leveed on them for stopping ANYWHERE except pullouts big enough to accept them. I have se...

Mike Enzi op-ed on raising NP entrance fees

Just saw this. He wants foreign visitor fees increased, and also suggests raising US citizen park user fees by $5. It has been pointed out that foreign visitors are comprising a greater and greater portion of park visitors, yet they do not pay US taxes, some of which go to support the parks, so it i...

Sad news, and condolences to the family. Didn't Dave handle the Glacier NP forum?

Re: Harriman and Henry's Lake Idaho

I've always wanted to check out the nearby Fish Creek Road. Fish Creek road is a neat drive but I very much doubt you can get all the way through because of snow. The first time we drove it, it was early June. We came in from the south which is paved. I remarked what a nice road and no traffic! As ...

Re: March Trip to Southern Utah

Lol, you went there at a great time! We made the mistake of visiting Arches NP one time in the summer and it was 95 degrees! So, we decided to head north. It was hot until we passed the Idaho border and then the temp dropped into the 70s and it was just wonderful.
