Another great day. I saw four different grizzly bears and I saw a big boar chasing Snow down the hillside at Steamboat point. I also saw a long-tailed weasel with a vole in its mouth run across the road at Lake Lodge but I did not get a picture.

Abandoned Grand Teton for Bridge Bay campground. Was immediately rewarded with a young grizzly boar near the campground, then another wading in the Yellowstone River in the Hayden Valley, fishing. Went up the road to Sedge Bay and finally got to see and photograph the young grizzly sow Snow near Ste...

Another slow day. I just missed Blondie by a few minutes. Took a hike up the dirt road to Two Ocean Lake and saw a couple northern harriers but far away. Saw some elk as well and on the way down I heard what I could have sworn was a barn owl, though I don't know where the heck in there one would liv...

Went to the Tetons early this morning and so far, it's a bust. I did get a couple red-tail hawks and a young moose outside the park along the highway, but inside the park I have seen nothing but a few distant elk.

Day started out slow. Saw not much but did meet up with Heidi. I got some shots of a coyote in the Lamar, then found a bison calf that had gotten itself stranded on an island in the Confluence and its mother had left it and wandered off. The calf had been there for hours when it finally decided to t...

Kind of a slow day. Checked out Bridge Bay but no sign of the owls or the pine marten and hasn't been for days. Went up past Lake Butte Overlook but no sign of Raspberry or Snow. I understand someone saw her a few minutes after I left, of course. Did get the grouse at Lake Butte. I got some shots of...

Went out to the Lamar in the morning. Got a couple moose near Pebble Creek (and again in the afternoon.) Also saw a golden eagle but didn't get a shot. Then I went to Tower and got Rosie and her 3 yearlings at Calcite Springs. There were two other 2 year old subadults in the clearing and the cubs we...

Woke up early and headed south to look for the great grey and pine marten. No joy and nothing out east toward Lake Butte either. I did see a grizzly in the field before Mud Volcano, a small subadult I suspect is Obsidian's recently evicted son. But it was far away and heading out so I went to the Ro...

Went back looking for GGOs and pine martens but no luck. Went to Lake Butte but no bears. Went back to tower and saw a black bear with a yearling but they were far away and in shadow. Got some nice shots of a one-eyed coyote crossing the Confluence.
