Re: April Bike Trip and Opening Day

Thanks guys, I have been lurking for years reading all the YNP reports and only posting in the Non Yellowstone Discussions for a while now. So glad I could return to the park and actually share something in the Yellowstone Trip Reports forum. I am using a 500mm Canon lens that I purchased from Bill ...

April Bike Trip and Opening Day

My daughter and I biked the part of the park that was open to human powered methods April 17-18th. Then we drove to OF and Canyon on Friday opening day. Prior to that we acclimated to the altitude by cruising the Upper loop road in search of wildlife. There was a lot going on in the park. By staying...

Re: Owl Monday

John,
Great capture on the owl stretching its wings. I often see the GHO's do that but have never captured it.

Rik,

Is that a single Long eared that you found. Out here in the winter desert they can congregate in groups, sometimes up to ten. Just wondering what you have in Fla.

Short Eared Owl, Mission Bay, San Diego. A few birds entertained city folks for over a month in February 2018.

Patagonia in May

Last Spring I joined Max Waugh on his Patagonia tour to look for Pumas. Mountain Lions had long been on my wildlife want list since I had never seen one in the wild. In 2016, Max posted a trip report on this forum of his Patagonia visit that was all new to me. Prior to that report, I thought Patagon...

Re: Brazil 2017 Birds

All of those pictures look even more stunning and spectacular than ever. Could it be the new resurrected forum ;) making them look so good? The first parrot is so striking but my favorite is the toucan with the detail in his bill and his big eye.

I see the new forum but I do not see anywhere on the forum page to create a topic or any replies. I am using a safari browser.

Re: Non-YS Forums

Yes I am wondering about this also. I have not been to the park in over 5 years but was keeping engaged with the YNet using the non YNP forums.
