Re: Oct. 6, 2017 pix added And a few more

Thought I'd post a few more because I thought it was such an unusual situation with aggressive deer (who didn't seem to have any fawns with her) and a coyote that seemed to think he could take down a deer by himself. The first standoff I saw, the deer to the left of the rock, the coyote to the right...

Finally a little payoff for a very slow couple of days in the park. At Beryl Spring, there was a coyote and a doe deer having quite a standoff. I watched for probably 45 minutes. She chased the coyote 3 times, he marked his territory, laid down a while and then went up to where the deer was. There w...

Re: Yellowstone Fall 2017 Trip Report

Max, love the squirrel and pronghorn. I didn't see any of either. Friday there was a black black bear and a brown black bear with cub across from the entrance to Petrified. The brown bear is the one that caused the jam at Elk Creek the other day. I saw her backside several times. The Wapitis were ba...

It was pretty far out but put on a nice show, sneaking up to the creek and then trying to jump a goose in the water....
