Alternate routes in

Planning the vacation and might have a little more flexibility than expected. I'm seeing roads such as Flagg ranch and highways 22 and 26 into GT on the way to Yellowstone. Is there any special wow factor on them or are they just a different route. We'd probably be heading into West Y'stone for a ni...

I don't go back until May, but I'll post shots here when I do. We don't have a forum for non-national-park photography, do we?
I'd put it in Non Yellowstone Discussions. Max and Bridger already have some absolutely stunning non Yellowstone photos in there.

Re: Where is everyone?

Yep, seem to be a common theme, there's a bunch of us here that don't like Facebook, myself obviously included. Many thanks to the people who got this site up and running again after the attack, but I fear it took so long we lost a lot of people.

I'm here, doesn't that count??? :D

Re: Vacation ideas

Yellowstone is my favorite, but I'm a huge fan of the Utah parks too. Arches, which is relatively small, and Canyonlands which is pretty spread out are both spectacular, plus Dead Horse State park which is nearby and IMO should be part of Canyonlands. Mountains and red rocks, but desert so pretty dr...

Re: Yellowstone Fall 2017 Trip Report

Great stuff as usual Max, especially the squirrel on your site. I take a lot of pics, and I'd like to think some decent ones. And people speak well of them. But I see your work and I'm quickly reminded of the difference between nice snapshots and professional photography. My hat's off to you and you...

Re: Yellowstone Trip June/July

Mike, I have lived in MT for over 30 years and in the extended Yellowstone wolf protective zone in MT for at least 15 years. Saw my first two wolves in our back yard two years after the wolves were first re-introduced into the Park in 2005. Are wolves predators? You bet they are but so are coyotes,...

Re: No bear sightings this trip (September 19-21)

I did post several pictures to go along but they don't seem to be showing up. Sometimes I can find the pics. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4490/23932956688_18ce4b8f3e_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4145/35529352221_f658433e8e_b.jpg https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4373/37440314535_68e862d4f5_b.jpg

Max, gorgeous photos as usual.

Your work is a love/hate thing for me, I love seeing them and hate that my work pales in comparison.

Re: Oct. 4, 2017

Sounds like a good day. On pics, yeah, Photobucket now wants $400 a year or something to be able to share your pictures. I have no idea how long it will last, but I've had good luck with both https://imgur.com/ and http://postimages.org/ for hosting pictures. You probably get what you pay for, but t...
