Re: Winter 2020 Trip Report, Days 0-9 (Jan 11-20)

Great report and wonderful photos (loved the landscape ones, but I would join you on the needing more that landscapes after awhile!). That coyote pouncing is really cool. Good luck finding that bobcat! (We'll be in there in a few days and hope to see it, too, although our limited time makes it seem ...

Re: Winter 2020 Trip Report, Days 0-3 (Jan 11-14)

Wow -- otters, wolves, foxes -- and ravens! -- that's quite a couple of days.

Thanks for your wonderful reports and photos. It's almost (but not quite!:) ) as good as being there. Do appreciate it! The photos are great (I am inspired to try to take raven shots!) and the report just awesom.

Re: Winter 2020 Trip Report, Days 0-1 (Jan 11-12)

Great start to a trip! Sounds like there was plenty of action and you got some great shots. Thanks so much for taking the time to share it. I am hoping that next week (if the weather isn't too bad) my sis and I can sneak a few days in the park. We had the chance to get a quick trip into Grant Teton ...

Re: Great Bear Rainforest 2019

What incredible photos. I've heard about the spirit bear before but never knew that there was a preserve, especially one with so much other wildlife as well. This looks like a fantastic place, and you got spectacular shots. Thanks for sharing. I'd love to go there, too! :)

Re: Suggestions for winter trip

Thanks so much -- this is really helpful. I do have a question -- exactly where is the Old Yellowstone Road? We found the "old" road from Mammoth to Gardiner a few years back after hearing about it for a few years, and absolutely love to go along it whenever we're there and it's open. But I'm not su...

Suggestions for winter trip

Hey guys, I MAY have the chance to spend about 2 1/2-3 days in Yellowstone in January (weather permitting and such). I am STOKED at the thought, as I've always wanted to visit Yellowstone in the winter. However, time is definitely limited (we can reach West Yellowstone on the 1/2 day, and probably g...

Re: Drive Through December 12

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. A COUGAR?!? That's definitely on my bucket list -- sure wish you had the chance to spot it. But yeah, day late and a dollar short (my mom and dad used that all the time! :) ) tends to be me most of the time, too. Still, sounds like it was beautiful and I'd love to b...

Re: Quick GT trip

Hey Bill and Karen, Good luck with the weather as you head up there. Sounds like a LOT of fun as long as the roads aren't awful. How long does it take to get from Jackson up around to Gardiner? I do hope you travel safely. The two Green and Ringed Kingfishers sound SO gorgeous and I hope I'll be abl...

Re: Quick GT trip

Thanks, Bill. We really did hit the "moose" jackpot on our trip, and we are still in awe over that -- some great luck. I did spend about 16 months down in South Texas quite a few years ago, but never heard about a different kind of Kingfisher. I get down there occassionally so if I make it back down...
