Re: Wolves today Sept 9
"Nice. Isn't that Prince of Wales Hotel at Waterton amazing?! Did you happen stay in it?" We love Waterton and would like to stay at the Prince of Wales, but it is a bit pricey. We stayed about 10 miles outside the park at a nice little place that had a small restaurant/store out front. They gave a...

Re: Wolves today Sept 9
I'll be heading to GT next week for a few days, then on to Yellowstone. Hope you had a good trip. This week we headed up to Waterton, with a quick stop in Glacier. It was a lot of fun! Just got back this evening. Nice. Isn't that Prince of Wales Hotel at Waterton amazing?! Did you happen stay in it...

Re: Elk bull at RMNP
Thanks, it wasn't that crowded on Hwy 34, which is on the north side. I was able to pull over in a driveway and get some shots with hardly any other cars passing by.

Re: Summer Update
Thanks for posting the beautiful pics. I drove through the Lake area and Hayden Valley, and half way up to Dunraven on August 28, but only saw a few elk and bison. Perhaps it was not the best time of the year for seeing bear from the roads. This was in the late afternoon.

FWP officials searching for bear that killed woman near West Yellowstone

Happened on the Buttermilk Trail. Apparently, this person was hiking/jogging alone and regularly did so in the area. It's not clear whether she had bear spray or whether she even got the chance to deploy it.

Re: Elk bull at RMNP
Yes. And I actually saw another bull that was at least as big just a short way down the road, but I could only really get a butt shot of him.

Elk bull at RMNP
A couple weeks ago, I spotted this guy grazing down in a low area as I was driving in RMNP and pulled over to try to get some pics, I was able to get some pics as he crossed the road. I also saw a small moose, but was unable to get a decent picture of it. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52980098...

Thanks, very nice! If you have the time, would you edit the pics to indicate where they were taken? If not, no worries.
