Sandwedge, can I ride with you next trip? :D It seems like you have some great timing for arrival to the park!

Re: Winter in the Smokies

Nice! There is a big elk herd around the Hiram Caldwell House in the Cataloochee area of GSMNP. I saw them in 2012.

Re: Wolves on Elk Refuge web cam?

I've been watching three dogs of some sort for the last five minutes. They've been in the upper right quadrant of the webcam view. It looks like they may be eating something there. Can't tell if they are wolves or coyotes. Looks like they've now moved out of view, but they may reappear.

Re: 7/10-7/12/2020

Great shots! I need to get me one of those 150-600 mm lenses, as soon as I win the lottery! May I ask which 150-600 lens you use? Thank you! I'm using the Sigma 150-600 contemporary. Federal appeals court rules Yellowstone area grizzlies keep protections

What say you, especially those who live in WY, MT, and ID? How do you feel about the courts deciding wildlife management policy in your states? https://www.jhnewsandguide.com/this_just_in/appeals-court-rules-on-yellowstone-grizzlies-bears-keep-protections/article_2916b44e-f854-5d17-8e1c-a991670d3bed...

Snowy Range Scenic Byway

If you ever get the chance to drive this highway in June, I'd highly recommend it. It runs between Laramie and Saratoga in southern Wyoming. There are some incredible vistas along the way. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50087528762_fb47924c8b_k.jpg DSC_0337_00001 by MDTshots , on Flickr https:/...
