Great shots!
Have cancelled our trip in late May due to travel concerns, so love to see the images from those that can get there.

Re: Early May trip
Wonderful Report-Good to hear about the early season sightings. YNP is not just a happy place, it can be pure Nirvana! Hope you get your photo situation worked out. Would love to see your shots as no trip on the agenda this year for us. PS: Birding is addictive!! I really got into it as we traveled ...

Re: Spring Pictures from GTNP and YNP - 2019
Beautiful shots, Mike. The close-ups are truly awesome. Really like the grouse due to the coloring being visible. Rarely get to see that. All are very nice! BTW....catching a PIKA posing is awesome. Those little guys, the mythical otters, plus a mountain lion are still on my "must see" list even aft...

Re: A few weasel shots from this spring
Wow. What a great find. Does look like a long tailed weasel. Mostly of the "poser"variety.
He sure gave you some good ones.

Re: East entrance road closure 27 May 2018 (not June, typo corrected)
Thanks for the update. We are heading to YNP on Friday the 1st, arriving the 3rd for a hopefully glorious week.
And I understand the fingers. If it were not for the delete key my posts would be twice as long. Never type correctly the first time.
You intentions are well met though. Thanks again!

Re: Trip Report May 24-26
Jeepers, Thanks for the reply. I have hiked that short but steep trail up to trout Lake several times with no luck. The running joke with my family is that otters and Pikas are mythical little beasts that only exist in my "need to Photograph"List. : We are arriving in the park on the afternoon of Ju...

Is that closed until 27 June? Or a typo meaning May? Thanks

Re: Trip Report May 24-26
Thanks so much for the post and the updates. My family and I are arriving in the park June 3rd for a week. Will probably be spending most of the time in Lamar, unless we get info about other good sightings. Looking for wolves, bears and the mystical otters again this year. Most any critter is alrigh...
