Re: Grand Teton and Yellowstone May 18, 19

Actually, haven't been there yet -- I meant the coming weekend (end of May) rather than the 23-24th weekend, but glad to know she's stil out and about a bit. We are SO looking forward to getting up there, and trying not to pin our hopes on seeing 399 and cubs too much -- but can't help but hope! I f...

Re: Grand Teton and Yellowstone May 18, 19

Thanks for the report! Nice photos, too. So appreciate you sharing this with us. Now I'm anticipating even more getting up there next weekend. Glad the Harlequins are at LeHardy, as I always look forward to the chance to get a glimpse of them. And bears! Bears of any kind are always great, and the c...

Re: March Trip to Southern Utah

What gorgeous photos! I love Southern Utah (after all, Utah is my home!) -- haven't been there for a few years now and it's about time to go back again. Goblin Valley is a particular favorite -- well, as are all the other places. Thanks for the beautiful reminder of my own beautiful state! P.S. Hope...

Re: Harriman and Henry's Lake Idaho

WooHoo! Both are good news, as we have plans to stay in Gardiner starting on June 1 and then figured to drive up to Market Lake for a quick drive-through on our way home later in the week. It will likely be VERY crowded, but good news that we'll be able to get in and out of the park. Thanks for the ...

Re: Bear 399 has quadruplets!!!!

Wow! Thanks for the info and congrats on the sighting. That is just amazing -- 399 is an incredible bear. We're hoping to be in Grand Teton next weekend, so hope she's still out with them. We're bringing a niece with us who has never been to either GT or Yellowstone and has never seen a bear, so eve...

Re: Harriman and Henry's Lake Idaho

Wow, those are some great sightings (and photos). Sounds like so much fun. Is Idaho allowing people to come in and visit? We are trying to figure out what to do if the Montana entrances don't open in time -- you've mentioned Henry's Lake before and it sounds like fun to perhaps try there. Anyway, su...

Re: Yellowstone to (Partially) Reopen on May 18

I mentioned this in another post, but I did read that the earliest the Montana entrances would open is June 1 (think it might have been the Bozeman newspaper). I'm hoping they DO open by then, as I have reservations in Gardiner at that time. If anyone hears anything else, please share! I am hoping t...

Re: NPS Press Release: Yellowstone (Partial) Reopening on May 18

Thanks for the info. Has there been any updated data on a possible opening date? I have been checking around and found one story (in the Bozeman newspaper? Can't remember) that said the Montana entrances wouldn't open before June 1. I have reservations in Gardiner on June 1, and will need to cancel ...

Re: I can now, but couldn't log on

Thank you! I had been having the same problem and could not figure out what to do (tried deleting cookies, tried contacting administrators, and nothing worked). I went ahead and hit the "I forgot my password" button and reset the password to the one I had always used and I can now sign in! Thanks ag...

Re: Finally, Yellowstone (and GT) in winter

Thanks! We DID have such a great trip and a wonderful experience. I still can't believe that the schedule at work fell that way, with TWO different weeks where I had a chance to run up to the parks and actually experience winter there. SO fortunate! And it was SO worth it. Hope you get a chance to g...
